Step-by-Step Restoration in the Esthetic Zone with Dental Implants
Restoration in the Esthetic Zone: Step-by-Step Treatment
When restoring teeth in the esthetic zone, the treatment steps can be flexible.
However, achieving uniformity across all teeth is challenging if the process is divided. Personally, I prefer to place the implant first, allow it to fully integrate, and then proceed with crowns, veneers, and implant-supported crowns simultaneously as a set.
**Case Example:**
This patient resides abroad, which introduced certain constraints. Therefore, the treatment was divided into two main trips:
1. **First Trip:**
– Surgery to place dental implants (covering both anterior and posterior teeth).
– Bone grafting and gum contouring were performed.
(You may notice the uneven gum line, which was corrected for symmetry.)
2. **Second Trip:**
– Placement of crowns on both natural teeth and implants.
For this case, the existing crown on the patient’s right natural tooth was in good condition and didn’t require replacement. The goal was to harmonize the new crowns with the existing one.
In the premolar area, the space was insufficient for two implants. Therefore, a single, larger implant was placed, and the crown shape was adjusted accordingly.
**Key Considerations:**
– A detailed initial consultation is critical to discuss limitations and create a comprehensive treatment plan.
– A well-structured and precise plan ensures optimal results.
